Training – Case Study
To provide a bespoke training package for creating and validating emergency plans given in a ‘workshop’ style environment.
The North Wales Police Operational Planning Unit.
After in depth discussions with the client a package of training was developed which would show the rudiments of plan writing and exercise design. This was based on the following premise:
- The course content would comply with guidance as laid down in the Statutory guidance for the CCA, ‘Emergency Preparedness’
- It would be based on an interactive, workshop process
- This would yield an outline plan for use by the Constabulary
- It would draw on the considerable experience of EMS Ltd in the writing of emergency plans and the development of exercises.
The outcome of this two day workshop was twofold one, the creation of a plan template which was compliant with the Civil Contingencies Act and and two, an understanding of the principals for exercise design and development.
What the Client said:
“A thoroughly informative and thought provoking course, expertly delivered by credible trainers” (Inspector Garry Jones, Inspector in charge North Wales Police, Operational Planning.)
